Patos XII - 090521 - "Big Sand", Ålö

Patos landed on the shores of Utö “Gruvbrygga” on a sunny day, loaded their gear onto mountain bikes and headed off into the forest over to the eastern side of the island. Anders pumped and trampled like an Ardennes and left the remains of the Patos crew eating dust. On arrival on the vast sandy shore we raised our hero “Victor's” tent and as the evening came the rain started pounding the fabrics as the sky opened and poured its content upon us. We just laughed at Mother Nature and drank for Victor as we were warm and cozy. A thousand hotdogs later and blisters from a giant burning bonfire we left all thoughts of physical exercise on the mountain bike trails behind and read and read and read, and drank some as well. The rain continued to pour down for the remaining days on the island. But we were happy and lost in thoughts and literature.

Book 27 - "Resa genom ensamheten - Svart Blogg och det Ljuva Livet" by Plura Jonsson (2008)
Anders 3* - A strong 3-pointer from an inspiring fellowman from Sollentuna who really likes pussy…
Ola 3 - A great mix of pussy, drugs and music. And a whole lot of booze and cooking as well… as wine is really good...
Krister 5** - After listening to Eldkvarn for 20 years it's nice to have all the answers.
Average rating 3,66
* The rating plummeted as the rain poured down, just like Plura's writing talents.
** It's obvious that certain personal emotions sometimes affect our rating and not only the real literary talents.

Book 28 - "Man in the Dark" by Paul Auster (2008)
Anders 3 - Every story had the potential to be a masterwork, but unfortunately the old man could not choose.
Ola 4 - Auster is evidently fascinated by interweaving several layers of stories in his narrative. Regrettably there was one layer too many this time and he has written his third novelty in a row - but he still maintains a high level of artistry...
Krister 2 - I am sick and tired of the fact that such a great writer...
Average rating 3

Book 29 - "Tomato Red" by Daniel Woodrell (1998)
Anders 3 - Different and surprising with a fierce style, but I would never recommend it as it is very depressing.
Ola 3 - Intriguing document of time with tragical undertones.
Krister X - Three pages read doesn't earn the right to rate...
Average rating 3
